RotoMaster 1500 SRm / TdSRm
General
High-performance deburring unit with innovative floating head grinding device
High-performance edge-rounding unit with maximum total brush length
High-performance feed system with three wide magnetic tracks
The goal is clear, a strong edge rounding for better paint adhesion. A radius of 2 mm is often required for offshore or steel construction. Sometimes there is a desire for even greater rounding, or a smaller rounding is sufficient, but this needs to be achieved in the shortest possible time. This requires a powerful rounding unit. The rotary head in the RotoMaster SRm is equipped with 8 counter-rotating brush rollers, each 350 mm in diameter. The total brush length is over 4500 mm, significantly more than comparable machines on the market. Instead of truncated half-spindles, there are 4 continuous strong spindles, a very stable construction designed for the use of heavy high-performance brushes.

Our high-performance feed with three magnetic tracks
To maximise edge rounding, the brushes are used at high rpm all deep penetration. This generates high lateral forces on the workpieces. Most deburring machines are equipped with a magnetic track to prevent smaller and lighter workpieces from moving or flying out. At the same time, however, a rather slow feed speed is required for very strong edge rounding. For this reason, the RotoMaster SRm is equipped with three magnetic tracks, each 300 mm wide. Three tracks and a working width of 1500 mm ensure a high throughput.

Our SoftBelt deburring unit with unique floating head grinding device
Compared to conventional wide belt grinding units with vulcanised rubber contact roller, there are two significant differences with our SoftBelt unit:

1: The SoftBelt unit has a large diameter of 290 mm and is coated with a relatively soft Sylomer. It works with an increased contact zone with less heat development. As you have to work at a slow throughput speed for strong rounding, the lower heat development of this unit is a very big advantage. And because the soft contact roller works with more penetration, slight differences in thickness in the material are compensated.
2: In addition to the soft contact roller, the unit is equipped with our unique floating head grinding device. The entire grinding unit can move completely upwards out of the way when the grinding pressure is increased. Thickness tolerances and distortion are a recurring problem, particularly in the thick sheet metal sector. This unique technology offers a great deal more safety. The SoftBelt unit is therefore ideally suited to deburring heavy plate and much better suited than our standard unit from the BeltMaster. It is also very well suited for rather slow through feed speeds, as required for heavy rounding.
For the really tough cases: the additional HammerDisc unit for knocking off slag
For plasma and flame-cut parts, it makes sense to knock off the slag at the beginning. Our disc unit does this reliably. The HammerDiscs oscillate with a large stroke and hit the slag build-up 360º from all directions. This means that the following grinding belt unit has to deburr less, there are fewer sparks and abrasive costs are significantly reduced. The RotoMaster TdSRm-1500 model is therefore our most powerful weapon for deburring and rounding flame-cut or plasma-cut steel parts.

Options

Rotating Cleaning Brush

Dust extraction unit
Loewer offers a range of dust extraction units for removing harmful abrasive dust. Depending on the application at hand, these are available for wet or dry processing.

Conveyor tables
When processing longer work pieces it is helpful to use conveyor tables. These are available in different lengths and widths. As an optional extra the feed speed can be linked up to the feed speed of the machine.
